Christina Johnson
Christina serves as a Senior Executive Recruiter for MedBest and works directly with top-tier clients and candidates to fill C-Suite and VP roles. With a deep understanding of industry dynamics, role requirements, and organizational culture, Christina excels in finding the perfect match between high level executive talent and the leadership opportunity.
Christina brings over 30 years of experience working in the senior care industry as a leader and operator and as a result, brings a wealth of knowledge about the Senior Living Industry. She began working in an Assisted Living Facility when she was just 19 years old and has remained connected to the industry ever since. The bulk of her career has been spent as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Florida. She has also worked as an Executive Director in Assisted Living and dedicated Memory Care communities. In addition, Christina has experience with retirement communities that include all levels of care, including Independent Living. Prior to her leadership positions, she worked in Marketing and Admissions for two different Skilled Nursing Facilities.
During the course of her 30 year career, Christina previously worked for MedBest for 6 years as a recruiter before returning to nursing home and assisted living operations.
All her past work experiences have given her invaluable insights as a recruiter. Christina is able to capitalize on the knowledge gained from her operations career and apply it to matching candidates with clients. She’s quite aware of the challenges they face, and also recognizes the rewards that come from this admirable profession.
Christina is an effective communicator, has a personable demeanor, and is a skilled interviewer who knows and understands the language of long-term care. She is very comfortable recruiting for all positions, but particularly Administrators and Executive Directors.
Through her years in the senior care industry, Christina has developed a passion for serving our military veterans. She’s proud to have championed a number of programs and dedications to honor our resident veterans. Additionally, she has had the pleasure of working with and caring for residents with memory impairments. She has received formal training on several different memory care programming models and is proud to be a formally trained Alzheimer’s Support Group Facilitator and has been instrumental in many fundraisers for the organization.
Christina has a love for music and live concerts and enjoys boating, kayaking and hiking waterfalls.
